Ali Boots

Touring musician, sometime poet, lyricist, songwriter, bass player, violinist and vocalist, amongst other things.
Ali collected a BA in Creative Writing along the way, a bundle of kids, spent a lot of time driving up and down autobahns in a beat up Bulli, before settling down to domestic bliss. Or not. Is life ever simple? No.
Still writing, performing, still out there.
Currently moderating IsleWrite as part of the group, working together, and has just published her novel Go Home Joey, the first of a series of three, the second of which, The Professor, will be out in the autumn, along with the album which will include songs mentioned in the book.
Hobbies include flying dragons and mass murder in World of Warcraft and annoying the cat.
When Gerry and Charlie pen the song Go Home Joey as a reminder to Salamander bandmate Joey that it's time to clean himself up, get off the bottle and sort out his life, they do not expect that it will become a massive hit and take Salamander round the world on a global tour.
Neither do they expect danger to dog their every step. Only Joey can sort out the mess he's got them into and keep his beloved band safely alive - if he can stay off the bottle long enough.
GO HOME JOEY
"Salamander isn't a band, it isn't music, it isn't me. It's all of us, it's people first and then the music. If there's no people, there's no band, no music. End of."
