IsleWrite is a group of Thanet based writers who meet on Zoom and face to face on a regular basis to support and promote their work : whether the aim is to become a published author, get that poem onto paper, or make a start on a writing project that's been in your mind for years.
We take part in events in and around Thanet, including Book Fairs in Broadstairs, members' book launches, and readings in libraries.
Anyone interesting in writing, whether a seasoned author or someone just on the cusp of thinking they might want to put finger to keyboard or pen to paper is welcome to join us.
There's no up front fee, just £3 for the live meetings to cover the cost of the coffee and biccies, and an afternoon of lively discussion and the chance to experience the work of others writers, learn from them them, and for them to learn from you.
Come and join us.
Everyone has dreams, everyone has ambitions, and IsleWrite is there to help towards the achievement of those dreams, whether it be a memoir, a short story, a poem or even a bonkbuster.
We don't tell people what to write, but hope to inspire, learn from and entertain our fellow writers whatever genre they choose to work in.
We welcome new members but turning up to every meeting is not obligatory - we all have busy lives, so members come when they can.
Writing is one of the loneliest pastimes on the planet and offering your work to be read is daunting. But if your work isn't out there no one will ever know how wonderful it is.
Cost of live meetings £3 for tea/coffee
Parking available behind Broadstairs Railway Station, or free in nearby streets.
