Richard Savin

A lifetime journalist and one time chef/owner of three London restaurants, Richard Savin's first book was published by Canongate in 1979. Vakil Abad – Iran, was an account of his experiences during the run up to the Islamic Revolution.

In the 1990s he was a regular guest broadcaster with BBC Radio South current affairs. Since then he has gone on to write twenty-one novels, three short stories, and two memoirs of his travels in Asia; one of which became a best seller. Turn Left at Istanbul reached #1 on Amazon in March 2020.

He is currently working on his twenty-second novel; which forms the third story of a quintet. He has a passion for cooking, wine, classic cars, motorcycling, and travel.
