Tessa Woodward

For many years, I did job-related writing, editing and reading. And I enjoyed it.

But once I had gone part-time, I got interested in writing fiction....vignettes and short stories mostly. I discovered the joy of making stuff up! It made me feel like a kid, playing.

People were kind enough to encourage me....to read the stories out loud, to publish and record them, to get them on the BBC, to launch a web site, to produce a 'business' card. See, that's what happens when you join a writing group such as IsleWrite. People push you to do things you never dreamt you would do!

So, now I find myself having produced three collections of short stories, two with accompanying CDs and sound files. Oh! And a book of episodes about village life, published via KDP and available from Amazon and from me. And with friends, I have taken part in festivals and library performances and book fairs. I've had my work included in an anthology. There's been no end of fun!
